  • Dr. Garrit Jentsch Garrit is the managing director of BAST GmbH. Garrit was awarded a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Göttingen in 2007. After doing postdoctoral research at Yale University he joined the pharmaceutical industry in 2011 and has been a Senior Scientist with BAST since 2013. Garrit has developed solutions in a variety of different projects ranging from system biology models for target identification to late-stage clinical development. He particularly enjoys implementing innovative modelling and simulation approaches in order to help clients gain meaningful insights from their data.
  • Dr. Pinar Boyraz Jentsch Pinar  works as a modeler and scientist at BAST. She has a background in Medical Biology (BSc) and completed her PhD in Neuroscience in 2007 at the International Max-Planck Research School of the University of Göttingen. After postdoc positions in Montreal and Leicester, she joined the pharmaceutical industry at BAST Inc. UK as a scientist in 2015. During her time at BAST Inc. Pinar has developed numerous PK and PKPD models in a variety of different therapeutic areas and contributed to regulatory submissions.
  • Dr. Joachim Grevel: Joachim is the founder of BAST GmbH and acts as a consultant to the Company. Joachim was trained as a pharmacist and pharmacologist (PhD University of Munich 1982) and did postdoctoral research at UCSF and University of Glasgow. He was on the faculty of the University of Texas at Houston and Austin and worked for several pharmaceutical companies (Sandoz, Merck-Serono, AstraZeneca). He founded BAST in 1991 and again in 2010 as a consultancy company specialising in modelling and simulation to enhance success rates in drug development. Throughout his career, he has helped numerous clients to successfully file for new drug applications with the FDA and EMA.
